We came back to Atlanta and stayed in Marietta, GA from Monday May 11th through Sunday the 16. The picture is of the "Big Chicken" in Marietta. If you call for directions or look at any local map of Marietta, you will be given directions from the "Big Chicken". It is even animated, the beak opens and closes. You know it's getting bad when something like this catches your attention. Time to move on!!!
The following are pictures from Stone Mountain State Park just to the East of Atlanta. The main attraction at the park is a granite dome that has a carving of Jefferson Davis, Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson. The figures are over 90 feet high. This is larger than figures at Mount Rushmore.

This is the train that runs around the hill. It has been a long time since either of us had ridden on a train. The picture to the right is the inside of one of the cars.

This is a covered bridge that goes to one of the islands in the lake that is part of the park.
