We arrived at Capitol Reef National Park on Monday April 5th. The weather was typical Utah, warm in the Sun and chilly in the shade. We took the six mile scenic drive at about sunset. This is a magical time at Capitol Reef. The sunset seems to ignite the redwall buttes that make up Capitol Reef. You may click below to view some of the pictures I captured.

The next morning we took a two mile hike on one of the trails leading from the camp ground. This is a fantastic time to visit southern Utah. The air is crisp and the crowds have not arrived yet.
