Day 52 - Travel to Northern Beaver Post, YT

It was 44 degrees this morning when I walked out and took this picture. What's wrong here?
If you guessed that Ed was dressed for 70 degree weather, you were right. The cold just does not seem to bother him.

The day started cold and clear. What a beautiful day to drive.

The fog was just lifting on some of the lakes and ponds we passed.

However, about two hours later the weather began to change as clouds started to build ahead.

One of the stops for many of us was Johnson's Crossing Restaurant and RV Park.
They have delicious baked goods, but most of us stopped for their cinnamon buns. Carol Hoyt is enjoying her breakfast treat.

It's a good thing the directions were to drive 254 miles and turn right into Baby Nugget RV Park, because my navigator is suffering the effect of sugar overdose from the cinnamon bun we shared..zzzzz

Seems like we are just destined to have rain each day we drive because the sky looked very nasty ahead. Ann Lee reminds us that it's really "Liquid Sunshine."

After running through a few rain showers, we arrived safely at the RV park, but the rain clouds continue to follow us.

We had a driver's meeting in the Best Little Ore House at the campground.

Skeeter Craig gives the driver's briefing. Pat Craig was not feeling well, so she did not attend.

After the briefing, some of us headed over to The Northern Beaver Post gift shop.

The eagle carved in the door was an attention getter,

along with the Inukshuk in the flower bed in front of the gift shop.
